about

Comes with 98page poem "LATTEN LEGEND LIBER I" in pdf format, the first installment of a metered narrative fantasy frighteningly derivative of Ariosto, De Troyes, and Chaucer, and probably a few more recent scribblers besides.

What are the press saying about SOME FOOL?
"Those of noblest rank in this world always follow their desires, enjoy being honored, take pride in social contacts, pursue litigation in the courts, feed on plunder, delight in slander, and crave ruddy-gold talents. When they seem to possess a little, they are all the more inflamed to gather more, and a heap of gold induces in them a fierce thirst to possess: as Prudentius said, 'With the massing of gold the thirst for gold increases.'
"Thus it happens that while they enjoy being pleased by the pomp and empty honors of the world, they do not remember to think of dignities that remain and do not pay attention to what is not seen, since they unjustly possess things which they think will satisfy their longings.
"But there are those who, through a greater intelligence, have released themselves from these bonds, like birds who fly out of their snares up to the sky: leaving their detested earthly possessions behind, they apply themselves with all their strength to heavenly things. Such a one was Some Fool, an inhabitant of the city of Baltimore..."
--Gregory of Tours

What kind of maniac reads this whole poem?
While it is not necessary to read the verses in order to complete the game, it is hoped that those brave souls who undertake the quest anyway will find the stealthy ways in which the music comments on the text (and vice versa) to be uncommonly gratifying. Many of the beta testers found the poem's droll humor and convenient division into numbered stanzas render it particularly conducive to reading on the toilet.
